A showcase for local talent, singer-songwriters stop by the studio to join John for a bit of chat and a bit of jamming. Gain insight into the music business as each artist shares their first-hand experience in their dealings in the industry. Hear the stories behind the songs as they reveal their inspiration behind the music. And learn how these artists promote themselves so that they stand out in a competitive marketplace.
As the Community Producer, John helped develop this program because he believes all songs need a chance to be heard. Artists from Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton perform 2 of their songs…some they have just written just for the show. ‘In A Song’ features all types of music including: rock, blues, easy listening, country, jazz and Latin.
ABOUT THE HOST
John knows a thing or two about the songwriting process. He is a singer, songwriter and musician and is featured in one of the ‘In A Song’ episodes. Currently, he is recording ‘Welcome to the Swampland’. It’s his tribute to Swamp Music. A resident of Oakville, John has his hands in other parts of the music industry.
