HANDS-UP HOCKEY CHALLENGE

Dean Del Mastro, Member of Parliament for Peterborough and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister announced today his plans for the 2012 Hands-Up Hockey Weekend.  At a media event held at the Asphodel/Norwood Community Arena, Dean was joined by the event supporters to announce 2 hockey games that will raise funds in support of the Peterborough & District United Way and the Good Samaritan Hands-Up Foundation - a fund within the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough.

 

 

The Telus Hands-Up Hockey Challenge will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012—with a 2:00 pm start at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.  Tickets will be $10 for regular seating and $13 for club seating and are available on-line or at the Memorial Centre Box Office.  Paying ticket holders will also be entered into a draw to be held during the game for a exciting travel prize package provided in part by Air Canada.  The Conservative All-Stars will take on the Hands-Up Heroes and players will include names like...Former Pete and Canadian National Junior Brent Tully, NHL Alumnus and Petes’ Assistant Coach Jody Hull, NHL Alumnus and Liftlock Stars’ Assistant Coach Cameron Mann, Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Peter Penashue and Kawartha Komet and Special Olympian Bruce Saltern.
