Media Excellence in Road Safety Award presented by Linda Jeffrey, Parliamentary Assistant to the (Minister of Transportation, Jim Bradley, STC MPP) to Joann Tweney, Manager Programming and Community Relations.
 
TVCOGECO has been instrumental in promoting road safety in Niagara Region. In collaboration with the Regional Niagara Road Safety Committee, TVCOGECO has provided generous in-kind contributions and support towards advancing road safety awareness throughout the region. Their contributions include:
The Niagara Challenge Road Safety Game, 6 PSAs addressing issues of speed, impairment, driver inattention and rural roads.  Promotion and coverage of road safety issues through news, online and other broadcast programming.
TVCOGECO has been very effective in finding innovative and creative ways to reach drivers with relevant road safety messaging.
