A program can be aired live or it can be pre-recorded and aired at a later date. Sometimes we cover the whole event, such as a hockey championship final game. Sometimes we edit the footage shot into a much shorter "synopsis" or highlights package.
We can record on location with either a multiple-camera mobile unit or a single E.N.G. camera. Usually the simplest production is the one shot in our station's studio. Some programs are a combination of these formats - for instance, a live magazine show with pre-taped inserts.
