In the early 1900's there were some 35 mica mines operating in the former Township of North Burgess. Every Sunday from June 30 to September the Silver Queen Mine, located within the boundaries of Murphy's Point Provincial Park, will be open to the public. Complete with costumed interpreters you will have a great chance to check out some interesting local history. For more info vist the festival website at www.heritagemicadays.ca.
